Let’s Celebrate our Feathered Friends, Owloween-style!
October 25th, 26th & 27th
10AM - 2PM
*weather permitting*

This weekend marks the end of our 2024 fall migration monitoring season and the last opportunity to visit our Fry's Landing bird banding station until next April. We hope that you will join us as we close out the season EBO- style by celebrating all things avian!

Northern Saw-whet Owl by LM Koitsch

Learn spooky facts about our feathered friends! Did You Know: Northern Saw-whet Owls are unlike most other zygodactyl species in that they can pivot one of their back toes forward to help them grip and walk- or that on their wintering grounds, Gray Catbird hearts actually shrink in size enabling them to store the fat needed for migration?

Plus: Fun hands-on crafts and other assorted activities for our non-feathered friends of all ages, costumes, & more— oh my!

Be sure to follow our FACEBOOK PAGE for info on delays, closures, as well as general station updates. We look forward to seeing you!
